Before we fell in love with Pringles, Lays, Ruffles, Pic-Nic, Tostitos and all those expensive and imported junk we were just a sari-sari store fanatic. The pleasure we get from our imported junkies were never new at all, as a matter of fact, we can satisfy our taste bud with just 1 peso in our pocket. Yes! we were talking about our Childhood Comfort Snacks. (I know a lot of you will agree with us)  Most often the not, it comes in a very nasty packaging with weird character prints. Madalas nakapabitin sa mga bintana ng sari-sari store. If you\'re unlucky pa nga, chances are makunat na ang nabili mo. It ranges from 50 cents to 2 pesos each. Unhealthy. Pero Delicious. Nostalgic!  This is the first time that the ANDC Fam is doing a Mukbang and what else is close to their hearts are the Pinoy Junk Foods. Also known as \"Chichirya\".  They have chosen to do a Tigpi-pisong Chichirya Mukbang (Pandemic kase at low budget... hahahaha!).  Added to that, they will also review each snacks. MUKBANG: A mukbang (Also known as an eating show) is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a host consumes large quantities of food while interacting with the audience. It became popular in South Korea in 2010, and since then has become a huge worldwide trend. Varieties of foods, ranging from pizza to noodles, are consumed in front of a camera.  A mukbang is usually prerecorded or streamed live through a webcast on streaming platforms such as YouTube. Based on the attractiveness of real-time and interactive aspects, eating shows are expanding their influence in internet broadcasting platforms and serve as a virtual community and a venue for active communication among active internet users.  CHICHIRYA: Chichirya (or sitsirya) is from a Spanish word, and in the Philippine languages this means “junk food” or “snack food”.  According to the online dictionary of the Commission on the Filipino Language, sitsirya comes from the Spanish word chichería. In Latin America, a chichería is a store that sells chicha, a corn-based alcoholic drink common to the continent. The definition in Filipino is pagkaing kinukukot, meaning “food that you eat bit by bit”, ergo food like chips and other snackables.  This has been a common word for junk foods in the Philippines.
